YO1 WELLNESS MUSEUM
INTERACTIVE MUSEUM AND EXHIBITS EXPLORING WELLBEING
Key Features
An immersive, educational and sensorial visitor-centered experience
An unorthodox design that introduces visitors to wellness therapies
A high tech approach to an ancient tradition
The Need
The YO1 Wellness Resort wanted an immersive exhibit experience where visitors could learn about various Ayurvedic therapies. Their goals were to emphasize fun, engagement, and immersion, and to surround the visitor with the five elements of Ayurvedic Therapy. Audience engagement was crucial, and the client wanted to include technology and interactivity.
The Approach
Tessellate’s vision was to design a personal journey and sensorial exhibit that focused on the visitor experience. The immersive environment opens with an interactive quiz that assists the visitor in finding their dosha, or bio-energy center. The design incorporates the five core elements of Ayurvedic therapies: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Ether. Visitor engagement was paramount, and the interactives relied heavily on imagery, sound, touch, and smell.
